STUDENT ASSISTANCE AWARD APPLICATION

Caribbean American for Community Involvement in Florida, Inc. (CAFCI) is a community-based organization in the Royal Palm Beach area.
Each year we offer deserving high school graduates the opportunity to apply for a monetary "Student Assistance Award" from our organization. Students applying must have at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher for seven semesters and demonstrate continuous academic success throughout their high school tenure to be eligible for an award.
Applicants must show that they have participated in school and community activities, show an interest in the Caribbean community and evidence of financial need. The monetary assistance is awarded to students who are going on to a college, university, or other accredited institution of higher learning. If selected, the student must provide proof of acceptance from the accepting school before receiving the award
Be a resident of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Currently attend high school in Palm Beach County, expected to graduate in May 2021.
Demonstrate an interest in Caribbean-American affairs.
Provide the completed and signed application POSTMARKED no later than FEBRUARY 28, 2021.
Be available for an interview – Date and Time to be determined.
Attend Presentation of Awards Ceremony, if selected. Date and Time to be determined.
Recipients will be notified by telephone and email.
Recipients unable to attend the award ceremony will receive the award in person at CAFCI's board or general meeting
The information presented must pertain only to your high school years (9th through 12th grades) Please do not include copies of newspaper clippings, certificates, etc.
